Railways on mission to modernize entire system: Ashwini Vaishnaw

New Delhi, Feb 12 Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw addressed the session on modernising rail and road of Uttar Pradesh at Lucknow. Jatin Prasad, Minister for PWD, Govt. of UP and Brijesh Singh, Minister of State, PWD, Govt of UP and Roop N. Sunkar, Member Infrastructure, Railway Board were also present on the occasion. Ashutosh Ganagal, General Manager Northern Railway, C.V. Raman, General Manager, N.E Railway, Sanjeev Bhutani, D.G./RDSO and other senior railway officials were also present at the review meeting. While addressing the session on modernising rail and road of UP, Vaishnav reiterated that development projects in UP are going on bullet trains speed , the record Budget allocation of railway infrastructural works will be Rs 17,507 crores in FY 23-24. ROB and RUB and the Land acquisition is easier for ROBs/RUBs because of double engine government. He also reiterated that about 150 stations will be developed under ‘Amrit Bharat Yojna’ in the state in addition to this he also mentioned that 700 Stations will be developed under OSOP(one station one product) all over India highlighting vocal to local ,local to Global for facilitation of local artisan.
