Sarpanch and VDC Ekta Sammelan conducted by Indian Army at Pallanwala, Akhnoor

YB News Jammu,Oct 28 Indian Army organised a Sarpanch and VDC Ekta Sammelan at Pallanwala, Akhnoor with an aim to enhance cooperation and close contact with the local population of border villages. The Ekta Sammelan was organised on 28 Oct 2022 to interact and exchange information on local security situation, issues which the Army can assist to resolve and have close bonding between the local population and the Army. The Sammelan was attended by numerous Army officers of local units and Bawan Brigade of Crossed Swords Division who re-asserted their commitment in safeguarding the area from all anti-national elements and to keep the area safe and secure. The attending Sarpanchs also discussed various welfare measures being undertaken by Army and the way ahead in order to assist the locals. The Sarpanchs conveyed their suggestions for better civil military co-operation and greatly appreciated the purposeful Civic Action Projects being undertaken by Army in the Sector. Regular interaction between local authorities, population and the Army officials have ensured a secure environment and the Sarpanchs expressed their gratitude to Indian Army for same
