Asks Mahila Morcha cadre to work relentlessly to further strengthen PM Modi’s hands

YB News Jammu,June 20 Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta dwelt in detail on the long journey of the BJP from Jana Sangh to the formation of Bharatiya Janata Party and highlighted the achievements of the party after taking over the reins of the Govt at the Centre and displaying exemplary Good-Governance especially during its eight years of ongoing rule. He stated this while addressing a training camp (Prashikshan Varg) of Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha at Patnitop here today. It is pertinent to mention here that the Prashikshan Varg was arranged at Patnitop under the dynamic leadership of Sanjita Dogra. Kavinder Gupta said that today Bharatiya Janata Party is the largest political party in the world after traversing a long journey from Jana Sangh to the party formation. He said that the party has been ruling the nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014. He said that BJP owes its ideological and organizational setup to the much older Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He stated that Bharatiya Jana Sangh was formed in 1951 by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and after the State of Emergency in 1977, the Jana Sangh merged with several other parties to form the Janata Party. It defeated the ruling Congress party in the 1977 general elections and after remaining for three years in power, the Janata Party dissolved in 1980 with the members of the erstwhile Jana Sangh reconvening to form the BJP. Although initially unsuccessful, winning only two seats in the 1984 general election, it gradually grew in strength. Following victories in several state elections and better performances in national elections, the BJP became the largest party in the Parliament in 1996 but lacked a majority in the lower house of Parliament, and our government, under then leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee lasted only 13 days. “Thereafter in 1998 general election, the BJP-led coalition known as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee formed a government that lasted for a year. However, in the 2004 general election, the NDA suffered an unexpected defeat, and for the next ten years the BJP was the principal opposition party,” he said. The senior BJP leader as serted that long time Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi gearing up the loins led BJP to a landslide victory in the 2014 general election. Since then election, Modi has led the NDA government as Prime Minister and as of April 2022, the alliance governs 18 states. He said that the official ideology of the BJP is integral humanism, first formulated by Deendayal Upadhyaya in 1965. Kavinder, while addressing the Mahila Morcha training camp, elaborated on the planning for qualitative progress of the party through Mahila Morcha functioning in different areas of the society. He said that all Mahila Morcha must act in unison for strengthening the organizational structure. Kavinder minutely explained the role of every individual Morcha and their operational style
