Army organises blood donation camp

YBNews Rajouri,Jan 18 Indian Army organised Blood Donation Camp and an awareness campaign at Phardala, Rajouri. Blood Donation Camp was coord in collaboration with Govt Med College and Hospital , Rajouri. In this drive more than Indian Army came together to donate blood for this noble cause. The blood bags were carefully deposited to blood bank, Govt Med College, Rajouri. Medical team of the Indian Army at Palma organised an interactive session with Village populace in the remote village near Phardala bursting myths and superstitions against the noble and humane initiative of blood donation. During the interaction at Phardala participants were acquainted with the procedure, safety aspects and health benefits related to blood donation. Held amidst strict COVID-19 protocols, the interaction culminated with a joint pledge taken by the village youth to volunteer in future blood donation campaigns. The aim of this campaign was to create awareness of blood donation in the environment. The awaam expressed their gratitude towards the initiative taken by the Indian Army and desired on regular conduct of such interaction to help guide the next generation towards nation building and collective social responsibilities.
