Mayor inspects ongoing development works at Seri Khurd Nagrota & Gandhi Nagar

Jammu, Nov 25 Continuing his drive to provide better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu alongwith Dr.Susheel Kumar Sharma Municipal Veterinary officer, Firdos Ahmed Qazi Executive Engineer Project Division of JMC, Neeraj Vaid Assistant Executive Engineer & other supervisory staff of project division as well as veterinary section conducted an extensive tour of Seri Khurd, Nagrota & reviewed the status of the ongoing development works of modern Gaushalla/cattle pound being executed by project division of JMC. Mayor was apprised by the concerned officers that the plinth level of cowshed has been competed while the columns has been raised, foundation work of Bull shed has been completed while its columns work is under process, plinth works for isolation & quarantine shed for cows has been completed while columns has been raised , foundation stone for calf shed also got completed, foundation work for fodder shed is in progress as well as other allied works allotted under phase- I is going to be completed shortly. Mayor went around the whole complex & directed the project division to keep strict vigil on all the ongoing & upcoming works by applying best quality and durable construction material & get it completed within the stipulated time period as the existing cattle pound at Dogra Hall Jammu does not have sufficient capacity to accommodate the stray animals lifted by the field staff of veterinary section from various wards of city on routine basis. Besides this, Mayor also took stock of the ongoing development works of construction of nallah with proper covering near Rehri Zone Gandhi Nagar Jammu opposite Church. S. Ajeet Singh Chopra Joint commissioner (works), Ashwani Kumar, Executive Engineer, Deep Kumar Sharma Assistant Executive Engineer of division -III, Junior Engineer of wardno.21, concerned contractor, Rajinder Kumar sanitation officer, S. Joginder Singh sanitary Inspector & supervisory staff of sanitation section were accompanied the mayor during the tour. The Mayor told that this prestigious work is being executed by the JMC under the project “My Town my Pride”, He also directed the engineers accompanied with him to expedite the ongoing construction work which is going on at a very slow speed so that general public may not face further hardships & asked the sanitation staff to maintain proper cleanliness in the locality by deploying existing SKC’s on routine basis and also appeal to the citizens to come forward & cooperate with JMC & other allied agencies in all the development works being undertaken in various wards of the city.
