Classes for children of gujjar and bakarwal commence

YB News Bhaderwah, Nov 25 Indian Army has been constantly undertaking various projects for welfare of the village population. In continuing the same, Indian Army at Bhaderwah started Coaching Classes for children of Gujjar and Bakarwals from 25 Aug 2021 to onwards at Thanala, Bihota and Jai Ghati in District Doda (J&K). During the summer, a large number of Gujjars and Bakarwals from different parts of J&K congregate on the pastures located in the higher ridges of Bihota, Thanala and Jaighati. The initiative was taken to impart basic education to children of Gujjar and Bakarwals who otherwise do not have access to the schooling system. Wide publicity was given to ensure that maximum kids avail the opportunity by attending the classes. Approximately 180 kids will be attending the classes and the nomadic community of these locations thanked Indian Army for organising this event and expressed hope for a brighter future of their children.
