Reasi Admin retrieves 678 Kanal govt land in Arnas, Thuroo

YB News Reasi, Nov 25 In continuation to its drive against the encroachment over the state land and as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh, an a n t i - e n c r o a c hme n t drive was carried out in village Kanthan and Dhansal of Arnas & Thuroo tehsils here today. The anti encroachment drive was carried out by Tehsildar Arnas Azhar Majid and Thuroo along with other Revenue officials. In this drive, 190 kanal state land under the illegal possession of encroachers was retrieved in Tehsil Arnas and 488 Kanals was retrieved in Tehsil Thuroo by the revenue department. Pertinent to mention here that Deputy Commissioner Reasi has already issued strict instructions for carrying out anti encroachment drives and to retrieve state land illegally occupied in different Tehsils of District Reasi & to make this drive a regular affair of the department. The encroachers were asked not to repeat this act otherwise strict action under relevant sections will be initiated against the violators. Earlier, awareness against the encroachment of state land was also imparted through different mediums and by holding sensitization programs by District Administration & revenue officials in various Tehsils of the District.
