GIVE TOP PRIORITY TO RESOLVING PUBLIC ISSUES; KAVINDER TELLS CORPORATORS

Jammu, Nov 22 Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday asked the Corporators of the party to lay maximum stress on resolving the issues of the people as this is their prime duty. He said this while chairing a meeting of Corporators of Jammu City. Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy Mayor Adv Purnima Sharma and Vinay Gupta, District President were also present. Kavinder said that Corporators owe the duty that they should know all the basic issues of the people and must incorporate a joint strategy to mitigate the problems being confronted by the public. He said that the crucial part is that Corporators generate a connection with the people so that gaps between the administration and the public should be plugged in within the shortest possible time. The senior party functionary also asked the Corporators to make a log book of all the projects undertaken and other works executed during their tenure as the same are necessary for projecting things while formulating new plans and before going in public. “A ready reckoner should always be there to answer the queries of the people as the time has gone when political parties used to befool people in J&K by giving bogus information and speaking lies”, he said, adding that information of vaccine camps and number of people inoculated should be kept ready clear the situation as the same will be of great help in containing the disease in coming times if the same aggravates again. Kavinder asked the participants of the meeting to reach out to masses and disseminate information about public welfare initiatives taken up by the BJP leadership and the upcoming plans to raise a link between party and the public as the same holds much significance in removing inhibition from the minds of people to come to party leadership for generating an affiliation which is must for making the more vibrant and robust in the region. He said that irrespective of position in the party, every single member of BJP has the sole responsibility of strengthening the party base in whatever way he or she could do the same.
