Shaheed Nb Sub Hans Raj Memorial Inter Village x-country competition organised

YB News Poonch, Nov 22 In continuation with its outreach to AWAAM, Indian Army organised Shaheed Nb Sub Hans Raj Memorial Inter Village XCountry Competition at Jhullas in District Poonch (J&K). The competition spirit was exuberated by 150 participants from eight villages namely Jhullas, Salotri, Magnar, Dara Dullian, Nambal, Salani, Hilla Mohalla and Khanetar. This memorial competition aimed at honouring the supreme sacrifice of Nb Sub Hans Raj and to inspire and bring physical fitness awareness among the youths. Encouragement and promote feeling of competition. This X-country was designed to test runners on wide range of terrain, steep up hill, sharp down hill, uneven ground and various barriers. The race was completed by these dedicated runners displaying sportsman spirits. The Jubilant spectators through out cheered with the towering rythemes. The event was attended by eminent persons of the area, Sarpanch and locals from nearby villages. To motivate and recognize participants devotion, all the runners were presented with T-shirt and certificates. Sports medals were presented to fifteen best runners. The officials of district administration and locals during tea informal interaction expressed that such event spread positivity in the society and inspires the youth to fight against all odds and eradicate evils like illiteracy, poverty, terrorism.
