Rajasthan: More political appointments soon as Congress faces dissent after cabinet rejig

Jaipur, Nov 22 Discontent continues to simmer in the Rajasthan Congress after the cabinet rejig in Ashok Gehlot’s government in the state. As per sources, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot can announce appointments of parliamentary secretaries to quell discontent among Congress MLAs who couldn’t get ministerial berths. Many leaders have been appointed advisors to the Chief Minister to placate MLAs who supported the Gehlot dispensation when it was in turmoil last year. Babulal Nagar, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Ramkesh Meena, Sanyam Lodha, Danish Abrar and Rajkumar Sharma have been appointed Gehlot’s advisors. Congress MLA Safia Zubair Khan expressed dissatisfaction at the Gehlot government cabinet rejig As per sources, several other leaders can be made parliamentary secretaries and members of boards. On Sunday, Congress MLA from Alwar's Ramgarh, Safia Zubair Khan, accused the party of not giving enough representation to women and minorities. She expressed her dissatisfaction with the cabinet rejig, accusing the Congress of double speak.
