Army conducts Sarpanch Ekta Sammelan

Jammu, Nov 16 Indian Army organised a Sarpanch and VDC Ekta Sammelan at Pallanwala, Akhnoor with an aim to enhance cooperation and close contact with the village population of border villages. The Ekta Sammelan was organised to interact and exchange information on village security situation, issues which the Indian Army can assist to resolve and have close bonding between the village population and the Indian Army. The Sammelan was attended by numerous Indian Army and the Brigade who re-asserted their commitment in safeguarding the area from all anti-national elements and to keep the area safe and secure. The attending Sarpanches also discussed various welfare measures being undertaken by Indian Army and the way ahead in order to assist the villagers. The Sarpanches conveyed their suggestions for better civil military co-operation and greatly appreciated the purposeful Civic Action projects being undertaken by Indian Army in the Sector. Regular interaction between village authorities, population and the Indian Army officials have ensured a secure environment and the Sarpanches expressed their gratitude to Indian Army for same.
