Gurmeet kick-starts dev works in Sainik Colony

Jammu, Apr 14 Corporator Gurmeet Kour Randhawa kick starts construction of drain and culverts in Ward 69 of Sainik Colony. The construction of two culverts in Sector G and C, drains in Sector A and C and work of tiling is in progress in Sector A of Sainik Colony. These works are in response to long outstanding demand of residents to construct drains and culverts in low lying areas of Sainik Colony to prevent water gusting in their houses during Monsoon. The heavy pour during Monsoon also brings large No of water borne diseases and reptiles like snakes. Keeping this foresight, the work have commenced well before onset of Monsoon to reduce hardships during Monsoon season. “I have also raised the issue of repair of tube wells of Sainik Colony to overcome shortage of water in House Meeting of Jammu Municipal Corporation. The efforts are on to get maximum funds in new financial year to Sainik Colony and ensure equal development in all Sectors,” said Gurmeet Kour Randhawa. The prominent residents appreciated the foresight of the counsellor in getting the works completed before onset of Monsoon. The counsellor urged the residents to keep themselves safe of Covid-19 by following basic guidelines of use of mask, two metre distance, hand hygiene and vaccinate as per programme issued by Govt of UT of J & K.
