Pratapgarh BJP MLA tears kurta, lies down on road claiming assault by top cop

Lucknow, Apr 7 ABJP MLA in UP's Pratapgarh district created a ruckus outside the residence of the District Magistrate today, alleging a threat to his life from the Pratapgarh SP. Pratapgarh BJP MLA Dheeraj Ojha tore his kurta and laid down on the ground outside the DM's residence in Raniganj. According to Dheeraj Ojha, he had gone to the DM's residence to complain about discrepancies in the voter list for the upcoming UP Panchayat polls. He claimed that his complaints went unheard and Pratapgarh SP Aakash Tomar had beaten him up and threatened to kill him. As a result, Dheeraj Ojha began a dharna outside the DM residence and started shouting and created a scene. A video of his antics has gone viral on social media. Ojha's supporters also gathered at the spot and started sloganeering and creating chaos. However, a press release has been issued by the Pratapgarh police.
