Blind hit and run case solved by Akhnoor Police

Y B News Jammu, Feb 28 Police Akhnoor today solved a blind hit and run case. On 27.2.2021, Police Station Akhnoor received an information through relaible sources that one unknown vehicle driven by unknown driver in a rash and negligent manner at about 1930 hrs when reached at Sohal hit a scooty bearing number JK02BS/0902 driven by person namely Narinder Kumar S/O Bulla Ram R/O Chaprayal, Khour on way from Kodeywala towards Akhnoor. Due to accident Scooty driver namely Narinder Kumar received injuries. Some locals shifted him to hospital. The unknown driver along with unknown vehicle fled away from spot after committing the accident. As per information case FIR No. 51/2021 U/S 279/337 IPC was registered in PS Akhnoor. Special teams were constituted under SHO Akhnoor Insp Ravi Parihar and on the basis of technical inputs and after through investigation , the accused driver Mohd. Zaffer S/O Abdul Hamid R/O Danyot tehsil Kalakot,Rajouri was arrested who confessed to the said crime and on his disclosure, Dumper without registration no was also recovered and seized accordingly. The public appreciated the quick response of police. Police has appealed people that in case of any accident, other than shifting the injured on priority, emphasis should be given on reading the regino of vehicle involved in the accident or its make & model so that immediate action can be taken.
