Y B News Jammu, Feb 24 Under the present Lt Governor rule fighting corruption and favourtism , the Selection Committee formed by Cluster University, Jammu to determine merit of candidates applied for M Ed course in Govt College of Education Jammu in the current session is calling shots with impunity hoodwinking and harming the deserving candidates for obvious reasons as well as putting dust in the eyes of highest authority of University. This was stated by Dr Vikas Sharma, President National Secular Forum(NSF) while addressing a press conference today who said that final merit list of 5th Feb 21 for M.Ed course was partially set aside in a fraudulent way ousting candidates securing higher merit from the seats allotment list concealing marks percentage issued on 19th Feb 21. Dr. Vikas informed that the aggrieved candidates are moving from pillar to post in Cluster University to seek justice but they are being misled by some officers of Cluster University Jammu on flimsy grounds, ostensibly to hide the fraud committed by the selection committee in connivance with some officers there in an effort to save the adjusted blue eyed out of way, he added. Therefore, it's thorough investigation is imperative to cull out the truth and punish the involved delinquent officers in Cluster University Jammu, Dr. Vikas demanded. Further he said that Convener of the Selection Committee is not taking the matter seriously and misguiding the affected meritorious candidates asserting that whatever Selection Committee has done and declared is correct as now seats allotment list clandestinely issued by Committee after intentional delay of eleven days cannot be reversed or amended just for justice seekers, although seat allotment list is without indicating marks percentage, he added Dr. Vikas informed that in case of complaints being submitted to Convener by aggrieved candidates, he is forwarding the same to Selection Committee, which is instrumental for committing fraud with the deserving candidates. Instead of taking seriously prompt cognizance of the genuine complaints to redress genuine grievances, the Convener in complexity with Selection Committee is playing with the career of aggrieved candidates, Dr. Vikas said adding that it appears all the concerned in Selection Committee handling the selection process for M. Ed admission in Govt College of Education under Cluster University, Jammu are hands in gloves with one another to achieve their sinister design , he rued.
