Bharat Bhushan, Sarpanch candidate of Panchayat Halqa, Meen Sarkar during an interaction with Young Bites describes the current situation of his constituency. POOJA THAKUR Q. What are the grievances of locals? BB: In Panchayati Raj, the issues of locals are very minor on which a Sarpanch or Panch should pay attention to resolve them. During campaigning, I visited around my Panchayat, met people and listened to their grievances. There are 7 to 8 villages in my Panchayat. The welfare schemes launched by the government do not reach our Panchayat due to the delay in Panchayat elections. If I win the Panchayat elections I will serve as a medium between locals and Government of India and will make sure that the welfare schemes regarding agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry and any other scheme be implemented in my constituency and every resident be benefited. The Panchayat Halqa, Meen Sarkar is under development; it will require a lot of effort and dedication to making my constituency developed, Bharat added. He further said that it is my dream to serve people and make them aware of the welfare schemes run by the administration.
