Stump mic catches KL Rahul abuse, comedian Danish trolls KXIP captain

New Delhi, Sep 22 Kings XI Punjab’s new skipper KL Rahul had a challenging first game, where his team was edged out in a Super Over by the Delhi Capitals on Sunday. In a game full of nerves, fortunes swayed along for both sides, with early loss of wickets, and then some consolidation in the middle order, and then some dramatic collapses too. It was in between all of this that when Kings XI Punjab were bowling, the stump mic c a u g h t t h e i r skipper KL Rahul hurl out an abuse in Kannada at a f i e l d e r a s k i n g him to move along. KL Rahul could be heard saying to a fielder, ‘Mundhe baaro lo**a’, asking him to move along quickly. There are a few players from Karnataka in the Kings XI Punjab squad, including Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair and Krishnappa Gowtham, and the abuse might have been directed towards any one of them. Soon, the audio went viral, and the KXIP skipper was trolled by the comedian Danish Sait on social media. On a photo that KL Rahul had posted referring to the match on Instagram, Danish Sait responded, ‘Mundhe baa...Golden words KL. Love you.’ KL Rahul’s Karnataka and Kings XI P u n j a b t e a m - m a t e Mayank Agarwal, who was the top scorer in t h e m a t c h against Delhi Capitals - scoring 89 off 60 balls - and almost got the team home, replied to Danish Sait’s comments with the laughter emoticon. Kings XI Punjab will next be in action against the Virat-Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
