MEDIA SHOULD NOT BE BIASED

The sole responsibility of media is to show the truth. Delhi violence has taken an ugly face where death toll has risen to 35. The media houses these days seem to be biased, where one section of media is showing the story has per its perspective while other is showing in its own perspective. The society is getting divided into two. Media is the fourth pillar of democracy. But these days it seems that the only game is of TRPs, profit and to divide the society. Freedom of expression, freedom of speech is being exploited and misused by various media houses. Supporting anti national elements has become a trend for some media houses, clubbed with a group of intellectual class, who very confidently delivers the hate speech against national interests, with the support of certain media groups. It is the time that government should intervene. The debates on TV shows which are based on religion, violence should not be allowed to broad cast. The TV debates on various news channels do not deliver anything fruitful but they are hampering the Unity in Diversity of nation. Police should check all the CCTV footage of the violent hit areas of Delhi. Atleast the TV channels should be stopped from giving their verdicts and police should do its job with full honesty and sincerity. Those who have damaged the public property and those who have been involved in mob lynching should be punished. If any political leader has backed the violence, he should not be spared at all. It is the time that all religions should teach love and respect for the other religion. All the religious preachers have to come out to teach their followers that violence is no solution, it is the responsibility of religious preachers to teach their respective followers to shun violence, to love and respect the other religion. Vested interests are ruining the society. Let us all pledge to love and respect others, there should be only one religion and that should be “Indian”.
