Lord Shiva, the three eyed God, signifies three sources of light ( the sun, the moon and the fire). He also signifies three times (Present, Past and Future). A verseaddresses him as Kaalaya and kalalthathaaya which means that he is the time as well as the one who conquered time. He is abjanmi (no origin) and abhinashi (No ending). He is considered in the Hindutheology as the ultimate and supreme head. He is always filled with divine fragrance as he cannot be acted upon by the elements of nature. Lord Shiva nurtures all beings born on earth and takes care of their growth and well binges. He distributes all that is deserved by each being according to the good deeds done by him in course of life and death cycle. He is the origin of all the forces of nature whichcreate, sustain and destroy the universe. He is all in, one and one in all. He is prayed with a very simple mantra viz. “ OmNamoShiv Aye Name” . This short syllabled word Om (Aum ) is also prefixed with almost all mantras addressed to other Gods and Goddesses in the Hindu theology.
In Sanskrit, Om (Aum) has multihued and meaning and amongst those, the most prominent is “welcome to the Gods and Goddesses”. Even in English version, Omni means combining all forms of forces.
During ‘SamunderManthar’ (Churning of ocean) many elements emerged out of ocean and amongst those , two most prominent were the nectar and poison pots. A war as such ensued between the Gods and Asuaras for nectar but insofar aspoison was concerned, none dared acceptance for it was too horrific which would have otherwise devastated the entire cosmos.
In order, therefore, to safeguard all bioforms for their subsistence and sustainability, lord Shiva engulfed the poison and retained it in his throat and that is why lord Shiva is as well named as Neel Kantha( bluesish throated God).
The Hindus are of firm belief and faith and therefore, offer sacred water, honey, milk, curd, chandan and Saffron onShiva Lingam to Soothe Lord Shiva . The BelPatri, leaves of wood apple (Aeglemarmelose ) pleases lord Shiva the most and their offerings is auspicious . So, almost allHindus offer the belpatrialong with sacred water, milk, curd and saffron preferably on every Monday and Saturday.
Lord Shiva showers blessings and fulfills the wishes of his true devotees.
The Yogis, saints and sages preach that the vibrations of Om (Aum) mantra are immensively powerful and can penetrate anywhere to the extent of brain which is also a proven fact scientifically. These Vibrations as well yieldmaximum oxygen. The Om (Aum) is admittedly a cosmic energy which has as well been scientifically proved as the scientists have the plea that the first sound energy ever to occure in theuniverse is the cosmic sound of Om (Aum). The upanishads and other Religious scripts, the great rishis, munis ,sainsts and sages substantiate this in toto. They avere that the Om (Aum ) is a cosmic energy which effects the entire cosmos. Even the most learned Physicists fully substantiate and anticipate it . The om (Aum) is the cosmic sound of creation which occurs and prevails through out the universe. The scientists have established that every sound creats effects of energy equilibrium so long as all the disturbances climax and become standstill and settla down.
So, the entire universe is constituted by multiued energy fields and the quantum of Om (Aum) is the base for all energy equilibrium for all read . This cosmic sound can travel and genetrate any medium and is powerful enough to collide with other molecules thereby pushing them closer together. Astonishingly enough, the chanting of this most revered Om ( Aum) generates vibrations of higher magnitude. The Hindustheology explains that the Om (Aum) is associated with Gods and Goddesses and it is only through prolonged meditation and penace that this energy equilibrium got transmigrated to our great yogis, rishies, munis , saints and sages.
As such, the universe is as a result of divine sport or to say a sportive activity( divinelila) of Lord Shiva . It is blissful of Lord’s Natraja which brims spontaneously having wonderousaffshorts of universe with varied manifestations understandable to the true yogis, saints and sages. Natraja as the divine dance of lord Shiva which epitomizes the real form and nature of the creater which cannotates that the creation was not for joy, instead it was form joy. Significantly, four terms have mostly been attributable to Lord Shiva. These are Purnatva (Perfectness ) Svatatantrya (freedom) , Bhuma (finitude) and the ananda (the Ultimate bliss). More or less, all these four terms are equally evocative with crystal-clear consciousness. Perfections in the first place signifies complete enrichment where nothing prevails.
The Hindu theology also explains that the cosmic creation is a natural phenomenon or to say an activity having the merit of absolute spontaneity. It therefore, a natural effulgenceof Lord Shiva.
Concluding, therefore, it is being prayed to Lord Shiva most reverentially as under:
“O’,Lord of Lords, the supreme Shiva, “we surrender to the, the giver of life to us all over this precious planet . We owe everything to thee and mother nature and her laws. May Thou be benign and benevolent enough to all humankind and the vide, varied biodiversity (the soil, water, air , plants and the animals ) to harmoniously co-exist in the natural ecosystem.
We also pray thou to sway us away from miseries, disease and hunger. Let every human be happy and healthy enough over the mother earth thou has as thus bestowed to us all and we pledge and ensure to keep her neat, clean and green. May this world be borderless and there be a deeper understanding of love, peace, prosperityand brotherhood amongst all irrespective of cast, color, creed or that of religion or race. Let all the narrow walls of separatism, egotism and hatred disappear. And may Lord’s blessings bestow us all for harmonious and peaceful co-existence and make this world worth living for the progress and prosperity forever and ever for all the generations to come by.”
