In our weekly section of Talk Show, today we have with us Kamini Gupta, BJP Mahila Morcha Mandal President. The Youngbites correspondent Vikas Gupta had a conversation with Kamini Gupta. Here are the excerpts:
VG: What was the main reason to join politics?
KG: The main reason of joining politics was to serve the poor and needy.
VG: The common man is very much unhappy with GST. Centre govt is giving new amendments in GST which is confusing the common public. What you have to say on this?
KG: The centre govt. is doing everything in a very planned manner. The black marketers are the one who have been adversely affected by demonetization. GST is going to benefit common man in near future but to properly understand GST, it will take some time.
VG: What is your say on Article 370?
KG: We are saying this from years that article 370 should be abolished in J&K. If we look back at the history, Jawahar lal Nehru wanted to please Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, so this article was imposed in J&K. But it is very important to abolish this article. No outsider is able to purchase property in J&K. But on the other hand the people of Kashmir can go to any other state and purchase property there. This is not at all fair.
VG: The Modi Govt had promised 5-5 marla land to the people who live along side LOC, but nothing has been done till date. People living along borders are living in fear as there have been continuous ceasefire violations along LOC. What you have to say on this matter?
KG: I do agree that land has not been allotted till date, but presently it is more important to build bunkers for their immediate safety.
