Deptt of Pediatric conducts JK-IAPSCON25 Conference

YB NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, APR 20 The Department of Pediatric Surgery, SMGS Hospital/ Govt. Medical College (GMC) Jammu proudly concluded the three-day Jammu and Kashmir Chapter Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons Conference (JK-IAPSCON25) held from 17-19 April, an event that brought together esteemed medical professionals from across India and beyond. The event was graced by Prof. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of GMC Jammu, as the Chief Guest, along with Dr. Vikesh Agarwal, General Secretary of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, as the Guest of Honour. Other distinguished dignitaries included Dr. Dara Singh (MS SMGS), Dr. Nisar A Bhat, and Dr. Vijay Kundal, who serve as Chairman and Secretary of JKIAPS, respectively. The conference attracted delegates from renowned international and national institutions, including NHS-United Kingdom, PGIMER, AIIMS, and other premier medical centers. A highlight of the event was the live operative pediatric surgeries performed by eminent faculty members, fostering hands-on learning and academic discussions. Additionally, a one-day nursing Continuing Medical Education (CME) session was held, attended by nursing principals and staff from esteemed institutes such as PGI, AIIMS, and local hospitals, further reinforcing the importance of comprehensive healthcare training.
