Laptop, camera worth Rs 1 lakh stolen from school

Chennai, Sept 25 The principal and teachers of a private school in the Theni district in Tamil Nadu were left shocked on Saturday morning after finding that electronic items worth Rs 1 lakh had been stolen from the premises.Unidentified robbers stole a laptop and a camera from the school. Furthermore, in order to escape from CCTV surveillance, they flashed torchlights on the CCTV cameras to make their identification difficult.Thenkarai Police was informed and subsequently, a forensic team and sniffer dogs were brought to the school. Efforts are underway to nab the accused.
