Closing Ceremony of Kishtwar Carrom Board Competition

YB News Kishtwar,Aug 07 Indian Army organized a 15 days long Kishtwar Carrom Board Competition for the youth of Kishtwar from 22 Jul 2022. The event was organised to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the youth. The event generated immense enthusiasm among the participants wherein 180 players from various Schools, Colleges and Institutes of District Kishtwar participated in the competition. The competition was conducted in four categories for boys and girls respectively. This event is also seen as an opportunity provided to the youth of Kishtwar region to display their sporting skills and reinforce their self confidence as well. The competitive spirit amongst the players was on full display and subsequent to completion of final matches, the winners and runners up were awarded with medals, trophy and certificates. Speaking on the sidelines of the closing ceremony District Youth and Sports Services Officer, Mr Kherati Lal Sharma highlighted the benefits of such tournaments, encouraged the participants and thanked the Indian Army for organizing this tournament. Army has been organizing different sporting events to provide opportunities to the youth to display their talent and channelise their energies to fulfill their aspirations
