“Go green initiative” drive by Indian army

YB News Rajouri, Nov 25 With an aim to spread the message of ‘Green India Mission’ Indian Army organised a ‘GO Green drive’ at Khorinar, Kanga Gali and Lam in District Rajouri (J&K). The ecological team members from school and villagers carried out maintains of previous saplings and nurseries. New saplings were also placed. Lecture on environment protection and to inculcate the habit of tree plantation amongst the village populaces, specially the younger minds was also conducted. It was emphasised that there is a need to preserve our natural resource and environment for the benefit of the future generations. The same should be promoted as part of education curriculum in schools. The attendees were exhorted upon to treat everyday as eco-friendly. Regular tree plantation to be adopted to keep the environment green, clean, safe and healthy.
