Strawberry plantation launched in District Kishtwar

YB News Kishtwar, Nov 25 To boost the horticulture sector and double the income of farmers, the Department of Horticulture Kishtwar today launched a massive strawberry plantation drive in the district. Chief Horticulture Officer Mushtaq Ahmed Wani informed that the department has planned to bring maximum land area under fruit bearing strawberry Plantation in different zones of the district during his year under CAPEX Scheme. He further informed that financial assistance to the Tune of Rs. 13000 per Kanal area is being offered to the growers and the Farmers have to plan 3000 Plants/Runners in Mulch Sheet over well prepared beds for better production.
