Man kills self after shooting daughter, sister-in-law over family dispute

Lucknow, Nov 25 A businessman allegedly shot himself to death after opening fire at his daughter and his sister-in-law over a trivial family dispute with his wife, in Sitapur district, Lucknow division. The incident took place on Sunday night, where the man identified as Rajkamal Gupta died on the spot, police said. According to a report published in the Times of India (TOI), the man’s daughter, Mohini and sister-in-law, Vandana are undergoing treatment at KGMU Trauma centre in Lucknow, where the doctors have stated their condition to be critical. Meanwhile, quoting SHO, Pisawan, Bhanu Pratap Singh, TOI reported that the incident took place on Sunday night at the house of former Gram Pradhan, Ramratan. Rajkamal Gupta, who was the son-in-law of former pradhan, Ramratan, had visited the house to take his wife back home along with him, who had been staying in her home since Diwali. However, his wife refused to go with him, which resulted in a verbal spat between the two, following which Rajkamal even demanded to meet his daughter Mohini.
