Poor and BPL people unable to afford gas cylinders should be provided free gas cylinder Gurmeet Singh

YB News Jammu, Nov 23 In Continuation to achieve mission “JAN JAGARAN ABHIYAN”, Gurmeet Singh President Beopar Mandal & District General Secretary Congress jammu east (City) the Congress today staged a massive protest against the BJP Centre Govt. to oppose the incessant hike in prices of LPG and essential commodities, irregular power and water supply in J&K and especially to seek restoration of statehood. The Rate of LPG Gas have been has been billed for Rs 951 per cylinder which is very high rate and unable to bear by the general public which clearly shows the loot made by the BJP Govt. and which couldn’t take care of common people of the society to provide the necessary commodities of the livelihood. Speaking at the protest, Gurmeet Singh, President Beopar Mandal and District General Secretary Congress Jammu, highlighted the local issues that are plaguing the people of Ward no.3, Jammu East, especially the irregular power and water supplies in the Jammu and Kashmir. The public is completely disappointed with the Union Territory Governance. Where countless problems have come before the common man, be it the local issues of Jammu or other burning issues that have gripped the entire country, the BJP government has remained a mute spectator. We strongly stress that complete statehood be immediately restored in J&K.More over the BJP Govt is sending Double bill. In the Congress Govt the bills were very reasonable bills said the general public. The President ward No.3, S. Hardavinder Singh rasie his comments against the present Government Governance failure who totally failed to provided the basic commodities for the survival of life and who have no control on the pries hike of even rationing items. In addition Gurmeet Singh said that their interaction with Jammuites remains confined to election-time votecatching he said. The Covid-19 pandemic has rendered most people jobless and this price rise is making life more miserable for them. The common people have been financially distressed by the Covid-19 pandemic and are in no position to bear the extra burden of price hikes, he said. Now most people cannot afford to use their own private vehicles. They have become unaffordable luxuries.
