Delhi: Man kills 37-year-old woman with scissors, arrested

New Delhi, Nov 23 A37-year-old woman was killed by her friend after she refused to have a physical relationship with him. The accused, Chand Alam, had fallen in love with his coworker at a cloth-export company at Pul Pehlad Pur. Cops have managed to arrest the accused and recover the murder weapon (a scissor). According to the Delhi Police, the victim, Jharna (37), used to sew clothes. The duo became friends and started spending time with each other. Soon after, the woman started to demand money from the accused, who in turn started giving her Rs 6,000 every month. In February, the accused got to know Jharna was in a similar kind of friendship with another person named Suraj. On this issue, the duo fought and the accused stopped giving money to her. On November 21, Chand Alam met Jharna at Badarpur bus stop and took her to an abandoned quarter near a railway track in Okhla's Tehkhand. Chand forced the victim to get physical with her and then stabbed her in the neck with a scissor which she had in her bag. The accused, a resident of Indira Kalyan Vihar in Okhla, covered the deceased's body with plastic and broke her phone with a stone.
