3 held after SI hacked to death while trying to nab goat thieves

Trichy, Nov 23 Three people have been apprehended by the police after special sub-inspector Bhoominathan was hacked to death while trying to nab two goat thieves in Tamil Nadu's Pudukottai district on Saturday night. The police have arrested 19-year-old Manikandan and detained two minors aged 10 and 14. The police have reportedly recovered the murder weapon and the two-wheeler used by the accused to flee the crime scene. Further investigation is underway. The deceased SSI, Bhoominathan, was attached to Navalpattu police station.
