Advisor Farooq Khaninaugurates 56th Artistic Gymnastics and 25th Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship

Jammu, Nov 22 Monday 22nd November, 2021: 56th Artistic Gymnastics and 25th Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship from 22nd November 2021 till 26th November 2021, was organised at new gymnastics hall, M.A. Stadium Jammu. The Championship was organised by Gymnastics association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with J&K Sports Council, in which Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan was the Chief Guest along with MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta as the Guest of Honour. The Championship started off with the National anthem followed by the lightening of lamp by the Chief Guest and the dignitaries. After the lightening of lamp, welcome address was delivered by Chairman Organising Committee Rajesh Gupta, followed by speeches by President of Gymnastics Association J&K and Vice-President Gymnastics Federation of India Er. Kiran Wattal, President Gymnastics Federation of India Sudhir Mittal, Nusrat Gull Secretary J&K Sports Council and others. After the welcome addresses the Chief Guest and dignitaries were welcomed by the organising committee by handing them a bouquet. Teams from various states including Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Rajastan, Punjab, Orissa, Maharashtra, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Karanataka, Kerala, Jharkhand, Jammu Kashmir, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and many others participated in the Championship. Speaking on the occasion Advisor to Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan said that the administration of J&K (UT) welcomes you all and thanks the organising committee, Gymnastics association of Jammu and Kashmir and J&K Sports Council for organising 56th Artistic Gymnastics and 25th Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship in J&K (UT). He further said that he hopes that all the participants from different states and UTs of India enjoy the beauty and warm welcoming culture of J&K UT and spread the word of this unchanted and soul soothing beauty of J&K at in their home states. After the address by the Chief Guest, demonstrations by the gymnastics players were given followed by the vote of thanks by S. Ravinder Singh General Secretary Gymnastics Association of J&K. Dr. G.S Bawa(Director Competition) and coaches of different teams and players from different states were also present.
