Tripura court grants bail to Trinamool Youth Congress president Saayoni Ghosh

New Delhi, Nov 22 Trinamool Youth Congress President Saayoni Ghosh, who was arrested by Tripura Police on attempt to murder charges, has been granted bail. Sources said Ghosh was granted conditional bail with a bailbond of Rs 20,000. Ghosh was produced in court on Monday. In a tweet, TMC state general secretary & spokesperson, Kunal Ghosh said the Trinamool Congress thanks the court for granting bail to Saayoni Ghosh. On Sunday, BJ Reddy, Additional SP (Urban), West Tripura, said: "She has been arrested based on preliminary evidence. We've registered a case under sections 307, 153 of IPC." Trinamool Youth Congress President Saayoni Ghosh was arrested by Tripura Police on attempt to murder charges on Monday. Top Trinamool Congress sources said that around 11am, some women cops came to the hotel where Saayoni Ghosh was staying, and said they wanted to question her. Later, when other workers reached the police station, they got to know Saayoni was charged with attempt to murder and that she had allegedly tried to run over some BJP workers with her vehicle on Saturday evening. Sources said some cops had apparently reached the hotel where TMC leaders.
