NIA announces Rs 20 lakh reward for information on 2 suspects in Israel embassy blast

New Delhi, June 15 The National Investigation Agency has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for any information leading to identification and arrest of two suspected individuals caught on CCTV footage in the Israel embassy blast case. On the evening of January 29, a minor improvised explosive device (IED) blast of 'very low intensity' took place near the Israel embassy on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi. No one was injured but three vehicles were damaged. A crater was created on the pavement near a palm tree. India Today has accessed exclusive CCTV footage in which the two suspects can be seen planting the IED near the Israel embassy and then escaping in an auto. Both are wearing face masks. One is wearing a blue shirt and the other a biker leather jacket. The IED which caused the blast was allegedly found in a flower pot on the road divider near Jindal House on APJ Abdul Kalam Road. The Delhi Police also found an envelope from near the scene of the crime which said "To Israel Embassy Ambassador". The blast occurred on a day when the VIPs of the city were at the Beating Retreat Ceremony and much of the city's security.
