YB WEB DESK. Dated: 4/17/2021 12:32:32 PM

Jammu, April 16 National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&k UT President Rajesh Gupta today in a statement here said, the BJP in Jammu has lost its faith towards their voters. BJP leaders are so shameless and too mean that they have no concern about Jammu's jenuine issues and problems. Gupta further said the problem is within Jammu people too that they never raise voices even for their own rights and never stand united they again and again support worthless and power hungry BJP leaders. He said after facing betrayal so many times from BJP leaders people are still becoming fools delebrately. BJP ruled government has not done any development works. The condition of rural areas in particular was pathetic with people clamouring day in and day out for better civic amenities with the Govt having failed to respond to their genuine concerns. And whereas Jammu continued to contribute a major part of states tax revenue, it continued to be ignored in terms of development, funds allocation and employment, Gupta regretted. While Jammu has all along been supporting all moves of the Centre even at the cost of its own interests, the latter has always failed to reciprocate appropriately, said NDPI leader. “People of Jammu are used for vote bank politics with hardly any regard for their sentiments. The Centre has all along been focused on Kashmir with Jammu made to play a second fiddle. And the tradition continues even after Article 370 abrogation. The latest five months have not seen any change in the centre’s policy towards J&K except that it has been converted into a Union Territory,” he added. NDPI Chief maintained, successive governments at center, continued with their appeasement policies, towards Kashmir centric politics and divide between Jammu and Kashmir region kept on growing bigger and bigger, in terms of exploitation and people of Jammu region will always be at the receiving end. He further added, management of such vast area as a UT comprising both the regions will adversely affect the development and governance. To ensure the equitable growth and development of both the regions, it is imperative that Jammu be made a separate State. This will certainly end the discrimination and give justice to people of Jammu region and ensure development, growth and good governance, said, Gupta.
