DIPR hosts Cultural Prog on Covid-19 dos- don’ts at Udhampur

Y B News Udhampur, Apr 16 To raise the awareness among the general public about COVID-19 disease and Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) celebration, Department of Information & Public Relations Cultural Wing, Jammu in collaboration with District Information Centre, Udhampur organized cultural programmes based on COVID-19 Do’s & Don’ts here at Panchayat Ghar Garhi and Kambal Danga of District Udhampur. Block Development Council Chairman, Udhampur Balwan Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, the chief guest stressed the need for sensitizing the people about the Corona virus disease. He appreciated the efforts of the Information Department for spreading awareness by means of cultural programmes. He added that such awareness generation programmes are the most potent tool for combating COVID-19. Artists of Cultural Wing, Jammu presented a scintillating cultural programme based on Covid- 19. A theme based Dogri song regarding COVID-19 “Asain Saaren Gee Samjhana aia Asain Corona Gee Nasaana Aia” presented by Mohinder Kumar senior Artist Cultural Wing Jammu, which was highly appreciated by the audience with round of applause. Among others, Sarpanches of adjoining panchayats which include Pritpal Singh, Shamsher Singh, Sushma Abrol, Sushma Sharma, Naib Sarpanch, Ashok Khajuria, Sarpanch Shashi Pal and senior artists of Information Department, Balbir Singh, Amit Kumar, Rakesh Kumar besides prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
