Swarnim Vijay Mashaal reaches Ratnuchak Military Station

New Delhi, Apr 16 To commemorate the 50th anniversary of India’s military victory over Pakistan in the Indo-Pak war of 1971, Swarnim Vijay Mashaal is being carried to various parts of the country. The Swarnim Vijay Mashaal made its journey though Kathua, Basholi, Samba, Ramgarh and reached Ratnuchak military station, Jammu. On 16 April a grand reception was organized at Ratnuchak wherein the Swarnim Vijay Mashaal was received by Brigadier MA Shaik, Station Commander Ratnuchak, Col Akash Sekhon, Deputy Commander, War Heroes, Veterans, Veer Naris, families of martyrs of 1971 war, dignitaries from civil administration and serving personnel. The event at Ratnuchak commenced with wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial to pay homage to the brave martyrs. Brigadier MA Shaik, addressed the audience, highlighting the achievements of Indian Armed Forces and contribution of veterans during 1971Indo-Pak war. It was followed by sharing of the real time experiences by the “War Heroes” while fighting the Indo-Pak war in 1971. The Veterans, Veer Naris and families of martyrs of the war were felicitated by Brigadier MA Shaik, Mrs. Sushma Chauhan, IAS, Mr. Simrandeep Singh, IAS, Additional SP and other dignitaries present on the occasion. The celebrations were complimented by the martial tunes of Military Band. This was followed by screening of motivational movies showcasing the 1971 war. The celebrations will continue in Ratnuchak Military Station by organizing a series of events in honour of Swarnim Vijay Mashaal.
