DCE organizes poster presentation on medicinal plants

Y B News Samba, Apr 16 Dogra Degree College organized a “Poster Presentation on Medicinal Plants” on 16th April 2021 in college campus as a project work of environmental studies. BBA/B.A/B.Com 1st Semester planted saplings as a group activity. The event was organized under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Balwant Thakur Lecturer in Sociology, Simran Devi, Lecturer in Environmental Studies and Priyanka Sharma, Lecturer in English. 12 groups (5 members each) presented their plants to depict the medicinal and environmental value. To evaluate the work of students, a judgment panel was elected which graded the groups based on a well organised criteria consisting of oral presentation, project file, presentation of plant and importance of plant. The best work was showcased by the group of B.A 1st Semester led by Gurvinder Kour followed by group of B.A 1st Semester led by Ritika Kundal and the other groups whose performance is worth mentioning are those of Bhavaya of BBA 1st Semester and Rahul Kumar of B.Com 1st Semester.
