JKRLM trains SHGs on Covid-19 appropriate behaviour

YB News Jammu, Apr 15 A training cum awareness programme on Covid-19, Appropriate and Health Seeking Behavior and Immunity building, for Self Help Group members have been launched across Jammu Division by the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM). The Additional Mission Director, Jammu, Sham Lal, while mobilizing field functionaries, asked them to educate rural households on the new strain of Covid-19 and encourage them to get vaccinated, observe Physical distance, Wear face mask and sanitize their hands, establish Nutri Gardens for proper nutrition. He further stressed upon that all activities viz. circulation of messages shall be performed by following SOP's and by using social media platform particularly whattsapp group already formed across SHGs. Earlier, on April 12, 2021, the NMMU, Ministry Of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, had imparted training to Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission staff and Community Cadre, which aimed to aware community about symptoms of Covid , encourage community for vaccination of members above 45 years and regular sensitization on Covid -19 , establishment of Nutri Gardens for proper nutrition of rural population by focus on immunity building of Self Help Groups (SHGs) members, pregnant women and their family members. The Messages for awareness have been created for wider circulation. It was informed that Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission has an outreach of one lakh ninety one thousand households across the Jammu division with 20312 Self Help Groups, 1742 Village Level Organizations and 168 Cluster Level Federations.
