Rana emphasizes role of teaching fraternity in securing academic future of youngsters

Y B News Udhampur, Apr 15 Holding on to hope that the ongoing grim pandemic era will come to an end soon, National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today wished normal times to return back and the people, especially youngsters resuming their routine again with renewed vigour and elevated spirit. “We are undergoing very tough times but the norm of life is to go on and this being the guiding force let us continue to work towards facilitating younger generations pursue their dreams to scale newer heights in their careers”, Rana said while inaugurating DRS Kids Playway School, a base facility for tiny tots, at Udhampur. Former MLA Mr Balwant Singh Mankotia was the guest of honour on the occasion. Chairperson DRS Kids Playway School Bhavita Kumari and Principal Monika Sharma gave an overview of the facility created for young children. Rana lauded the effort in creating the facility, saying the management should take all possible initiatives in raising the infrastructural facilities till the school gets fully operational for targeted youngsters once the life returns to normal. The Provincial President expressed the hope that the residents of the area, and its peripheries, will benefit by the facility, in shaping the destiny of their wards in a disciplined and professional manner. He said provision of the quality education to the upcoming generations with special emphasis on the coverage of the children of weaker segments of society is a noble contribution. It is heartening that the private sector is supplementing the effort in imparting education at the doorsteps of the children. Those engaged in this field have a bounden duty and primary obligation to help secure the educational future of youngsters by providing them with maximum opportunities of gaining knowledge, he added. Rana expressed happiness on being informed by the management that professional teachers are being engaged in the Playway School, keeping in view the requirements of the pre-school children. He impressed upon the management and teachers that the responsibility entrusted on their shoulders was huge and hoped they would come up to the expectations of the parents and the society. Referring to the huge transformation undergoing in the education sector over the years, Rana exuded confidence that the newer facilities coming up semi urban and rural areas will maintain pace with city schools by providing congenial atmosphere to young learners with the primary objective of enabling them to have a level playing field as they grow up. He called for close synergy between the teachers and parents, saying this is necessary for monitoring the overall growth of the children at the threshold of their entry into the academic environment. Shaping tiny tots is perhaps more difficult than imparting education at primary or higher levels and this is the area that needs care, compassion and vision of the caretakers of very young children. He lauded growing consciousness and responsibility among parents about the upbringing and education of their children, saying this is bound to lay a lasting imprint on their wards.
