GCW Gandhi Nagar celebrates Ambedkar Jayanti

Jammu, Apr 15 Department of Political Science, Govt. PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu under the patronage of Principal Dr. Sangita Nagari, celebrated “ Ambebkar Jayanti” by organising an intra College Poster Making Competition on the theme- ‘The Social and Political Equality’ under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ following all the SOP’s pertaining to Covid19 pandemic. The Programme started with welcome address by Dr. Pooja Charak, HOD Political Science. The Principal Dr Sangita Nagari was the chief guest of the occasion. In her addresss , she congratulated the department for organising this event and encouraged the students to follow the Social and Political thoughts of Father of Indian Constitution, Dr. BR Ambedkar. The events was judged by Prof. Sujata Slathia, HOD Economics, Prof. Mala Bhasin, HOD, Botany and Dr. Roopali Slathia, Physical Director. The first, second and third Positions were bagged by Mishi Dranch, Ananya Jain and Akanksha Gupta respectively. A formal vote of thanks was given by Dr. pooja Charak. The other staff members present were Prof Bindu Sharma, Prof. Paramjeet Singh, Dr. Vandana Sharma and Dr. Suraj Mohini Jamwal. An online Slogan writing competition on the theme-Thoughts of Dr. B R Ambedkar was also organised by NSS unit of the College on 14.04.2021 under the supervision of Prof. Mala Bhasin.
