Zila Sainik Welfare organises meet at Bari Brahmana

Samba, Apr 15 An ex-servicemen meet was organised by Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Samba at village Dollian of Bari Brahmana Tehsil on 15 Apr 2021. The function concentrated on contact programme with ESM, widows and their dependents to educate on education, finances and pension. Col RK Sharma (Retd), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Samba highlighted the need to help Non-Pensioners and informed the ESM to take help of Zila Sainik Welfare Offices regarding pension related issues and other welfare related schemes to ESM/Widows. ZSWO, Samba stressed on the need to be aware of various Govt schemes and must take benefit of the same. He also advised the ESMs that they should aware that their children should work hard and compete in competitive exams so that they can make use of the available reservation in various professional courses. He asked all new retirees to equip themselves with the skills required for the job in civil stream so that they can easily transition from army to civil life. They were also asked to ensure that all documentation is correct and any ambiguity must be rectified in time. He also stressed on the need of utilizing PM Scholarship Schemes for students. ESMs were encouraged to take help of various self employment schemes falls under KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Centre).
