NDA celebrates 130th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar

Kalu Chak, Apr 14 Nations Development Association (NDA) paid rich tribute to founding Father of Indian Constitution, Bharat Rattan Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 130th birth anniversary today at BSSK High School Kalu Chak, Jammu. Chairman Nations Development Association (NDA) Sushil Singh Charak described Dr. B.R Ambedkar as symbol of knowledge who dedicated his life in working for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. Sushil Singh Charak said that Dr. B.R Ambedkar also popularly known as Baba Sahib was an Indian Jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement, supported the rights of the women andlabor class and also campaigned against the social discrimination against untouchables/Dalits. In 1990, the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, was posthumously conferred upon Ambedkar. Ambedkar's legacy includes numerous memorials and depictions in popular culture. He appreciated the far sightedness of Babasaheb and said that it is he who had envisioned Indian. Principal BSSK High School Kalu Chak, Jammu Anju Bakshi further reiterated that on this day we should vouch for indulging of self introspection as a nation to ascertain where India stands on the ladder of prosperity and development as envisioned by Dr. B.R Ambedkar. He has given his life for uplifting the deprived section of the society and spent his whole life fighting against the system of untouchability and the caste system.
