New Delhi, Apr 14 Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha pointed out that Virat Kohli's style of play makes him dangerous on venues like Chennai where boundary-hitting is harder than usual. Ojha's comments came in the lead up to Royal Challengers Bangalore's 2nd IPL 2021 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Pragyan Ojha, speaking to Sports Today, said Virat Kohli's ability to not just depend on boundary-scoring shots and convert ones into twos and twos into threes makes him well-positioned to accumulate runs on sluggish wickets at Chpeauk. Virat Kohli began his IPL 2021 campaign with a 29- ball 33 at the top of the order during their 2-wicket win over Mumbai Indians on the opening night of the new season. Mumbai Indians had managed just 159 on the board and RCB needed a late special from AB de Villiers to get past the finish line. Notably, on Tuesday, Mumbai Indians posted only 152 at Chepauk after being sen into bat and managed to seal a 10-run win against Kolkata Knight Riders. Batsmen from both teams struggled to get the big shots out on a regular basis. "Virat Kohli is a very smart batsman. He will not look for those big sixes and boundaries, he will try and get similar number of runs but with those hard runs and not with big shots. So you need to keep this mind even you’re playing in bigger venues," Pragyan Ojha said. "When you are playing in Chepauk, if you see the dimension, the side boundaries are bigger. When you’re playing in smaller grounds like Mumbai and Bengaluru.
