MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MALDIVES VISIT TO INDIA

New Delhi, Apr 14 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid is scheduled for a working visit to India from 15-16 April 2021. During his visit to New Delhi, Foreign Minister Shahid will meet the External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar on April 16, 2021, for discussions on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest. He will also participate in the Raisina Dialogue virtually, in sessions on "Financing for Sun” and "Global public health after the Pandemic”. Maldives is a vital maritime neighbour in the Indian Ocean Region and occupies a central and special place in the PM Modi’s vision of ‘SAGAR’ - Security and Growth for All in the Region. Foreign Minister Shahid’s visit is anticipated to lend further momentum to the close bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
