Training programme for teachers held at Badgam

YB News Srinagar, Apr 12 A training programme on, ‘Role of teachers in promoting psycho–social well being of children and adolescents’ was today organized by institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences Kashmir in collaboration with Child Guidance and Wellbeing Centre and District Administration Budgam at Sheikh Ul Alam Hall here. The training programme was attended by about 100 teachers from across the district. During the programme speakers threw light on the role of teachers in promoting psycho-social well being among children, they urged upon the concerned that the participating teachers be imparted trainings about how, when they attend classes identify the childrens'/ students who have become victims of unprecedented odd circumstances due to Covid- 19 pandemic and other man made calamities and have become disheartened of all happenings in their surroundings. The speakers stress upon the teachers to play a pivotal role in bringing back the depressed and situation affected children on the right track. They said that all is not lost there is still time and space where if society particularly teachers pledge, demonstrate commitment and strong will and take the efforts as challenges for reshaping the future of a child, so that he can continue his life in a prosperous manner and face any kind of challenge with strong desire.
