DC orders hassle free arrangements on eve of Ramadan

YB News Kupwara, Apr 12 With the holy month of Ramadan all set to begin from Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today issued orders to concerned officers to facilitate people during the holy month across the district. Concerned Tehsildars, SHOs, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology and Food Safety Offices were directed to conduct joint market checking across the district to check profiteering, black marketing of essential commodities including mutton, chicken, vegetables and fruits by traders and wholesalers. The joint checking squads shall work under the supervision of concerned Additional Deputy Commissioners and ASPs. Concerned Executive Engineers of Kupwara, Handwara and Karnah were ordered to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the month. AD Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs were directed to ensure supply of essential commodities including Rice, Flour, Kerosene and LPG in the district. Executive Officers of Municipal Committees of Kupwara, Handwara and Langate were directed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation at Shrines and Mosques. Chief Medical Officer, Kupwara and Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Handwara were asked to keep teams of doctors available with medicare facilities and test kits available in all health institutions round the clock to meet out any exigency. Concerned Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars were ordered to function as Duty Magistrates in their respective jurisdictions. ARTO Kupwara was asked to ensure that transport shall remain available on all routes till late hours in the district. However, strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols has been made mandatory in all places.
