Police takes action against Traffic and COTPA violations

Srinagar, Mar 1 Acting tough against the traffic and COTPA violations, Police have registered 104 traffic challans and 47 COTPA challans in Srinagar. Srinagar Police acted tough on the violations of Motor Vehicle Act and Cigarettes & Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) registered a total of 104 traffic challans under various sections of law in Srinagar. Police have also registered 47 challans against the persons who were smoking in public places and were violating the COTPA rules. Police have once again requested the general public to follow the rules in letter and spirit. Persons found violating Government orders will be dealt as per law. Girl says father wanted to sell her off, files complaint New Delhi An 18-year-old girl in Rajasthan has filed a police complaint against her father and paternal relatives for trying to sell her off. A resident of the Barmer district in Rajasthan, the teenager has alleged that her father had set ablaze her mother years ago and was not harassing her mentally and physically.
