DC Baramulla Chairs District Level Single Window Committee Meeting

Baramulla, Feb 28 Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired District Level Single Window Committee Meeting of Geology and Mining department in order to fast track the process for issuance of Non Objection Certificates among successful e-bidders for the extraction of minor minerals from river beds and other Nallahs. Meeting was attended by ADDC Aijaz Abdullah Saraaf, ADC Mohammad Ahsan Mir, ACR, District Minerals Officer among other concerned Officers. On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion on the subject was held during which the DC directed the District Heads of concerned Line Departments to visit the sites of e-auctioned Minor Mineral blocks and expedite issuing NOCs among the successful e-bidders through single window committee. He directed all the concerned departments to jointly visit the site for conduct of physical verification. He also emphasized upon the bidders to submit their mining plans, environmental clearance and other necessities within the stipulated timeframe so that NOCs are issued through single window clearance mechanism. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to work in coordination and said that strict monitoring is required to ensure that nobody indulges in illegal mineral extraction. He also said that judicious utilisation of these natural resources is necessary for achieving the goal of sustainable development.
