New Delhi, Feb 28 The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (SGMC) on Sunday honoured labour and Dalit rights activist Nodeep Kaur at Rakab Ganj Gurudwara premises. After 72 hours of walking out of Karnal jail on bail granted by Punjab and Haryana High Court, Kaur was honoured with a 'Siropa' (honorary scarf). SGMC also announced that they will fight the legal battle on behalf of Nodeep Kaur who had hit international headlines after Meena Harris, the niece of US Vice President Kamal Harris, talked about her arrest in a social media post. Dressed in a simple sky blue salwar kameez with her head covered with a yellow dupatta, the activist paid her obeisance at Rakab Ganj Gurudwara. Speaking to India Today TV, she said her struggle is still not over. "I have been wronged. The sexual harassment case has been proved beyond doubt, I will fight my case legally." She alleged that the Haryana Police had sexually assaulted her and that she was even hit on her private parts.
