Y B News Jammu, Feb 26 The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Sarv Shakti Sena on Saturday raised serious concern over the all-time high fuel prices and said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modiled Central government has failed miserably to address the issues affecting the general public. The party also appealed to the Union Territory administration to allow inter-state buses to ply on road and end the inconvenience to the general public. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party's government at the Centre claims that theirs is a pro-people government but the Centre has failed miserably to protect the interests of the common man,” said Rajan Gupta, President Sarv Shakti Sena, J&K unit in a statement issued here today. “The common man is going through the worst sufferings under the current dispensation and none in the power is taking note of the problems they are facing. The government has yet again failed to check the upward revision of fuel prices. The petrol has touched an all-time high, crossing Rs 100 per litre mark in the country while diesel is going to touch Rs 100 in the days to come,” said Rajan. “That is not all but even the prices of LPG cylinders have touched the sky now, going way beyond the reach of the common man, along with petrol and diesel,” he added. Rajan said that these hikes come to add on to public miseries which are already suffering as the graph of the inflation is on a constant rise.
