Gang busted, Rs. 10 lakhs recovered, 3 arrested

Jammu, Feb 26 In a major breakthrough Cyber Police Jammu unearthed gang involved in commission of insurance fraud case and thereby looting hard earned money of innocent and gullible people of Jammu and Kashmir UT and succeded in arresting three accused fraudsters from Bijnor, UP and recovered money looted from innocent people worth Rs 10 Lacs. On 16-01-2021, a complainant was received at Cyber police station Jammu by one person namely Maidul Islam that he received a call on 07-12-2020 from unknown fraudsters pretending themselve from Max Insurance Company and illured the complainant by offering him bonus amount and subsequently convinced the complainant to deposit fee to claim the due insurance bonus and eventually duped the complainant with an amount of Rs 10 Lacs in multiple transactions.
